We invite you to join us this Sunday, May 31 at the 12 noon Mass, to help celebrate the 100th birthday of our oldest living parishioner and OLMC graduate, Mary Caliero-Buzzoni, OLMC Class of 1929!
Mary was born at home in Tenafly to Italian immigrant parents on May 18, 1915. She was educated at OLMC by the Sisters of Charity and still has fond memories of them and the Carmelite Fathers who also served the parish. Mary’s devotion to OLMC runs deep. Not only does she still proudly cherish the graduation pin she received in 1929, she’s also sponsored a scholarship given out each year to an OLMC graduate.
Our parish community will celebrate Mary’s 100th birthday with a proclamation from the city of Tenafly that will be read by OLMC’s Principal, Michael Bruno, a 2001 graduate of the academy.
