Remembering Fr. Jim Moran

The Our Lady of Mount Carmel community mourns the loss of our friend, fellow resident and Academy alumnus Fr. James Moran.
James M. Rev. of Tenafly passed away on February 6, 2016. Loving son of the late Patrick (Leo) and Kathleen (née Clinton). Dear brother of Carol Ann Botto and her husband John of Dumont and Julie Finkel and her husband David of Bergenfield. Uncle of John Thomas, Stephanie and Ryan Botto. Beloved nephew of Francis Moran and his wife Teresa of Bronx, NY and Thomas (Sonnie) Clinton of Co. Leitrim, Ireland. James is survived by family and friends near and far. James spent his early years teaching at Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, NJ as a teacher in the religious education program. He was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Newark in May 2003, by Bishop John Myers and served at parishes in Tenafly, Closter, Elmwood Park, Westfield, and Belleville, New Jersey. James also served as a chaplain for Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ. His love for faith, family, friends, and his Irish American heritage defined who he was as a person and will live on in our hearts forever. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, with a vigil at 8:30 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 10 County Road, Tenafly 07670.
Funeral mass Wednesday 10 AM. Interment Mt Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Foundation, 3 Landmark Square, Stamford, Ct 06901.
