The Academy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kelly A. Koval as our new principal beginning July 1, 2016. For the past thirteen years Ms. Koval has been a teacher leader in a middle school setting, most recently serving as a Tech Integrator at the Academy of the Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes in which she worked closely with the faculty to insure Tech integration throughout the curriculum. During her tenure there, she also taught Reading, ELA, Writing, Religion, Accelerated Math and social studies. Her extensive classroom experience makes her an exciting addition to OLMC’s dynamic community.

A collaborative colleague willing to foster a culture of trust and a healthy school climate, Ms. Koval has spent her career promoting academic excellence in Catholic education. She serves as a representative on Archdiocesan Curriculum Mapping Committee.

She holds an Ed.S in Education Leadership, Management and Policy and an M.S. in Education (Seton Hall University) as well as a B.A. in Psychology (Focus on Children and Adolescents) from Ramapo College. Ms. Koval is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in K-12 Educational Administration.

Ms. Koval congratulates Mr. Bruno on his new position as principal of St. Joseph’s Regional High School and is excited to begin work.

May our patroness Our Lady of Mount Carmel, continue to bless Ms. Koval and our Academy!
