Dear Brothers and Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel,

More Church updates this week.

Many of us have noted the absence of Deacon David Loman over the past few months.  He is dealing with a variety of medical issues and has experienced spells several times a day even on the altar in the early summer.

David and I have agreed that he is going to take a leave of absence from diaconal ministry until his medical issues are resolved.  David is still a deacon assigned to OLMC; he has not asked to retire.  He is aiming to be on our altar at one of the Christmas Masses.   But, for a while, we can come to his aid with prayers and messages and good wishes.

You will be thinking what I am thinking.  Thank God for our newly ordained deacon, Michael Giuliano.  And, thank God for Deacon Lex who keeps on serving us so well.

One further update:  T.J. Ermita has been teaching in our school for the past 13 years and has also been our Athletic Director for the past two years.  T.J. has been offered a business opportunity that he cannot pass up, so he will be leaving our staff, but not our parish family, on October 1. May God be with both of these great men of Mount Carmel.

Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Mount Carmel,

Dan

P.S. Please pass the word about the Mass of Anointing of the Sick on October 8 to anyone who might need this special Sacrament and our prayerful support.
