ASCENSION OF THE LORD Holy Day of Obligation Thursday, May 25th! The Ascension of the Lord is the fortieth day of the Easter season commemorating Jesus’ ascension into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God, the Father. Jesus tells his disciples before he departs, “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
