The parishioners of OLMC continue to respond enthusiastically to our request for donations to the Medical Mission. For example, we have collected about 10,000 doses of acetaminophen. While that sounds like an enormous number, just think of it in terms of dosage per client that we hope to see. And we hope to see about 600 adults, at least! Once again, on behalf of the Medical Mission volunteers, I thank you for the incredible support.
Please remember that the items, once we are in Peru, will be repackaged into the appropriate dosages so we do not require any specific size bottle.
Donated items can be placed in the boxes in the narthex or by the elevator. We are very appreciative of your support. And, again, please make sure that they do not expire BEFORE April 1, 2019. Generic brands are fine. If you have any questions, please contact Rosemary Russell at email@example.com.
Here is the schedule for the rest of the month:
This Weekend – May 19/20
Cold and cough treatment, especially in tablet form.
Weekend of May 26/27
Personal care items: soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes. This is a specific request because we will distribute these to the people we see and we’d like to be able to give everyone the same items.
