Pastor’s Letter

Wednesday, June 27th, 2018

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel,

Please join me in expressing our gratitude to Deacon David Loman and his wife, Carol for more than 25 years of faithful service to our parish and to prisoners incarcerated in New Jersey prisons.

David’s decision means that he is stepping back from active service. He is a deacon for life and is more than welcome to function as such here any time he wishes, such as at family sacramental events and the like. Ad multos annos, dear David. God be with you in the years ahead.

As it happens, I also wish to inform the parish that we have been asked by the Carmelites to welcome Anthony Armstrong, O. Carm. into our communal and parish life. Anthony is a transitional deacon, on the path to the priesthood. I will be telling you a lot more about him once his appointment is officially announced by the Archdiocese of Newark.

So, the news is mixed today. God’s blessing to David and Carol Loman and welcome to Deacon Anthony Armstrong.

Have a blessed celebration of the Fourth of July.

Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Mount Carmel,

fr. Dan
