This Week’s Gospel Message for Sunday, July 15th. Mark 6:7-13

“Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick—no food, no sack, no money in their belts.”

“Jesus’ disciples could not bring much at all on their mission, but still they were able to attract followers, drive out demons, and cure many who were sick. They had the model of Jesus, whom they had witnessed accomplishing these things. They assuredly had the Lord’s guidance. God provided all they needed.”
