This Week’s Gospel message for Sunday, September 30th is from Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48.
“There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me. For whoever is not against us is for us.”
“God does not diminish anyone’s own gifts when spreading those gifts among a wider population. Were Jesus’ exorcisms less effective because others were doing the same thing, in his name? Of course not. God’s grace is not a limited resource that can only stretch so far. We cannot put a limit on the gifts God gives.”
