This Week’s Gospel Message

Thursday, October 18th, 2018

This Week’s Gospel Message for Sunday, October 21st is from Mark 10:35-45.

“…whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.’”

“Again Jesus tells [his disciples] they must be the servant of all, reminding them that he came not to be served but to serve. This is what it means to be a disciple. The goal is not glory or greatness. That is out of our hands. The goal is to serve others.”
