This Week’s Gospel Message

Wednesday, March 13th, 2019

This Week’s Gospel Message for Sunday, March 17th is from Luke 928b-36.

“Jesus took Peter, John, and James and went up the mountain to pray. While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white. . . .Then from the cloud came a voice that said, ‘This is my chosen Son; listen to him.’”

“In the synoptic Gospels, Peter, James, and John are the three disciples mentioned most often, the disciples closest to Jesus. Here he specifically chooses them to witness his transfiguration. We pray that like them we may be worthy witnesses of the transformative power of God in our lives.”
