This Week’s Gospel Message

Thursday, March 28th, 2019

This Week’s Gospel Message for Sunday,  March 31st is from Luke 15:1-3, 11-32.

“‘My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’”

“Paradoxically, family bonds can be both fragile and strong. In the Gospel, the younger son is willing to break the bond with his family without much thought . . . But when he’s at his lowest . . . he returns to his father, even though he feels unworthy of being treated as his son. Though he wouldn’t recognize it as such, that bond he has with his father is strong enough to draw him back home.”
