Save-the-Dates! Working Homeless Family Program Hosted by OLMC July 28 – August 4, 2019
This summer OLMC will be hosting working homeless families as part of Family Promise of Bergen County’s Homeless Family Program. Please consider saving the dates to cook dinners and serve, entertain children, or to stay overnight as emergency contacts. We also will be asking for food donations.
Please see future bulletins and our parish Web site in the coming weeks for more information about this program and how you and your family can help.
As of this writing, two women and a total of four children (all under the age of ten) will be staying in our Academy for a week. We will provide shelter, dinner, breakfast and supply lunch. The families eat and sleep here during the evening hours; during the day they work and their children attend daycare/summer camp.

Volunteer
Shifts of volunteers are required to cook and serve dinner in the evening. We can also use volunteers in the morning to set up for breakfast. At least two volunteers must stay overnight as per Family Promise regulations. Sign up to volunteer here.
Donate
We will need to fill our pantry with items for the families, such as luncheon meats, snacks and more. Also, while Family Promise provides beds, we will need gently used or new linens and new toiletries. Sign up here to donate here.
Pray
Please offer up the volunteers, organizers and families in your prayers leading up to and during the time of service that the Spirit of God fosters within us a successful event. We understand that people travel during the summer and, if you are, we hope you enjoy your rest and ask that you pray for us.
