This Week’s Gospel Message

Thursday, August 1st, 2019

This Week’s Gospel message for Sunday, August 4th is from Luke 12:13-21.

“Then [Jesus] said to the crowd, ‘Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.’”

“Imagine how the ending [of today’s Gospel] would differ if the rich man, upon seeing he had more grain than storage space, decided to give the bounty to the poor and hungry. It is his selfishness that is completely opposed to what matters to God.”
