This Week’s Gospel Message forSunday, August 11th Luke 12:32-48

“‘Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour when the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.’”

“Since the lesson Jesus is teaching his disciples is to be prepared always and because one cannot know when the hour will come, it is perfectly appropriate to read and reflect on this passage at any time of the year. The hour could come for us, any of us, at any time. We would do well to be ready to be of service at any time, like the servants who will be rewarded.”
