This Week’s Gospel Message

Thursday, August 15th, 2019

This week’s Gospel message for Sunday, August 18th  is from Luke 12:49-53.

“Jesus said to his disciples . . . ‘Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth?  No, I tell you, but rather division.’”

“Doing good demands standing up to those who do evil and to those who allow evil to be done. It may mean opposing a leader or a superior.  It may mean opposing a friend or family member.  A divided household is better than a corrupt one.”
