Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Religious Education Office

May 19, 2020

Dear Friends,

This week we move to the end of the Easter season with the celebration of Jesus’ Ascension and the waiting for the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday. The Archdiocese of Newark has moved the celebration from May 21st to Sunday, May 24th.

We all continue to follow Paul’s missionary journeys as God provides helpers to share his work of building communities Jesus reminds the disciples that he must end his time with us on earth, but he promises that he will send his Holy Spirit to us and we will help his disciples carry on his work.

Each of us continues our work by living the Gospel message. No matter what our circumstances , whatever difficulties we face during this pandemic, God is with us. The church is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for personal prayer. When entering the church a mask must be worn and social distancing must be observed. When mass will begin again we have no information for dates and other information. Continue to check the parish web site for new information.

The Religious Education Program has made the books available to be picked up and the book completed over the summer. The completion of the grade level book ensures that the student is not missing any of the teachings for their Grade level. The books can be picked up Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. and until 3:00 p.m. Please use the north parking lot entrance. If you do not find your child’s book, please let me know.

Any questions or concerns that you have, please call the Religious Education Office, (201-871-4662).

Blessings and prayers for each of you and your family members.

Sister Regina
