Religious Education News

Dear Parents,

Mother Teresa of Calcutta said “Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet, especially your family and friends.” As conscientious parents, you are serious about your child growing in the Catholic faith. As we begin to plan for the new year of Religious Education it is a time when we will give much thought to the safety and well being of every student enrolled in the Religious Education Program.

You are, as the bishops of the United States say, your child’s primary educators in the faith. What we do in the religious education classroom is in support of what you do each and every day at home and in the community.

Father Ashley Harrington has been appointed the administrator for Mount Carmel Parish Community. The dates for First Communion and Confirmation have been set and letters to all families were mailed.

We are in the process of formulating a plan for Religious Education classes for the Fall of this year. We are leaning toward virtual classes until at least January, 2021.

Re-registration forms and new student registration forms will be posted on the parish web page.

I pray that since the church is now open for the Celebration of Daily mass and Sunday mass that you are attending with your family. There are safety procedures in place so that everyone stays safe and healthy. Social distancing, face masks and hand sanitizer are required (church provides sanitizer upon entrance).

As we know the joy of loving God and as we share it with our family and friends, together we spread the Gospel to the end of the earth.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at (201)871-4662 or reled@nullolmc.us

Blessings and prayers,

Sister Regina Chassar
