Our Lady of Mount Carmel Confirmation Preparation Calendar 2022-2023
Families are responsible for helping their child(ren) attend class on a regular basis to ensure continuity of lessons, and it is the responsibility of parents to share the Catholic faith with their children by attending Mass on Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation. Receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist regularly is strongly encouraged.
CLASSES ARE SCHEDULED FOR THE FOLLOWING DATES
All Student sessions are Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Unless otherwise noted. Candidates will attend class in the auditorium, please enter by the Church elevator (north parking lot, Hillside Avenue side.)

November 6- “Human and Divine: Jesus’ Death and Resurrection

December 4- “This I Believe:” Catholic Faith and Belief
What do I actually believe in? What do I NOT believe in?

January 8– “Sacraments:” Doorway to the Sacred and Confirmation: The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Can we find God in every day life? How can we find ourselves? Wait, we get superpowers now?
January 15– “As It Is In Heaven:” The Mass
What’s up with praying? What is really happening in Church and why?

February 5- Hot Topics: Christian Morality (Part 1 and 2)
Does God hate sex and do all dogs really go to heaven? More complicated questions that make us feel awkward!
February 12- “The Call to Service:” Catholic Social Justice
How are we going to change the world, not just take from the world?
March 5- “Behold, I Make All Things New:” Last Things and the Road to Emmaus
We are beautifully and wonderfully made, now how can we “walk the talk” and be our authentic selves?
Final Preparation for the Sacrament
