Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation are sacraments of initiation in the Roman Catholic Church. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit that are needed for us to live as a mature Christian. We are called to witness our faith to others; this is certainly a challenge in our world which we see and hear can be at times un-christian.
At this time , candidates should begin working on the completion of community service. Confirmation candidates will be required to complete 40 hours of service; more than this number is encouraged. Be sure to keep track of service sites and time completed; a record of service completed is to submitted to the Religious Education Office.
Detailed information regarding this time of immediate preparation for Confirmation can be found under the Confirmation tab found under “Learn” on the homepage. Please refer to the scheduled of important dates in the attached Confirmation program; these preparation dates need to be made a priority for the person seeking to be confirmed. If your child cannot commit to this schedule at this time, we strongly advise that they postpone the preparation for Confirmation.
