Fr. Nakka David Raju from the diocese of Vijayawada, India is asking for our support this weekend. The diocese has various needs and requires funding for ongoing projects and also for new ventures.
This second collection will be utilized to:
- support the education of children (school books, tuition fee, uniform, play items, toiletries and boarding expenses)
- support evangelization, re-orientation of converted Christians in rural colonies
- build prayer chapels in Christian colonies
- repair presbyteries in rural parishes
- support the formation of seminarians and religious nuns
- care for street children, homeless children, people affected with HIV/AIDS, leprosy patients and child and maternal health issues
- help poor families with drinking water facilities and install toilets in their homes.
