OLMC needs you! Although the COVID-19 outbreak prevents us from engaging in our usual face-to-face service activities, there are still ways to give to others! Many of our community partners have reached out and need our help, and we can provide that help with little-to-no human contact (as advised by the CDC). Fr. Mark and the staff are answering the call and we need your help!
Join us on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. by dropping off your donations (North Parking lot near the elevator) which will be sanitized and delivered to each of the organizations. Choose one or all three! Get the whole family involved and service hours will be given to teens or young adults who need them!

Write Letters and Create Art for Seniors!
Our friends at the Kip Center in Rutherford, NJ are accepting letters for elderly residents who have limited family support! Because volunteers are not able to visit during the pandemic, many of these seniors are very lonely. A letter from you could help to brighten their day! If you would like to write a letter or give a piece of art please place it in a blank envelope (one letter/artwork/envelope per senior). We will collect them Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Food Drive for Newark Soup Kitchen
Newark’s St. John’s Soup Kitchen (Elliot’s old job!) is in desperate need of several food items. If you are able to please donate any canned goods but especially the following:
- 1. Parboiled rice (they go through a lot!)
- 2. Coffee
- 3. Sugar
- 4. Marinara sauce
We will collect them Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Make Sandwiches for Hoboken Shelter
The Hoboken Shelter needs sandwiches for their walk up window, now more than ever! They need the following:
- Make, Wrap, & Deliver Sandwiches—any kind of sandwiches are appreciated, but our Guests prefer meat-based sandwiches. Please have each sandwich individually wrapped
- Donate items for Sandwiches—Sliced Bread, Sliced Cheese, Cold Cuts, Canned Tuna Fish, Mayonnaise, Mustard & Ziploc Baggies or Tinfoil.
- Coffee, Coffee, Coffee—their guests really love their Cup O’ Joe especially with Sugar & Milk!
