This Week’s Gospel Message

Wednesday, August 4th, 2021

This week’s Gospel message for Sunday, August 8th is from John 6:41-51.

“[Jesus said], ‘No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day. . .I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

“Today we continue hearing Jesus explain to the disciples, the curious, and the skeptical that he is the bread of life, sent from heaven to give his body so that we may have life forever. May we today be nourished by God’s word so that we may be sustained on our own journeys.” SOURCE: Pastoral Patterns, Autumn 2021
