OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM

NOVEMBER 1, 2022

Dear Friends,

On November 1, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. All Hallows Eve prepares us to celebrate this Holyday of All the Saints.

During class we discuss the saints and how meaningful their lives were and are in the life of the Roman Catholic Church. Do you know your patron saint?

As we approach the holiday season, it often means that you become busier than ever. Most people do not mind, though, because it’s all about celebration and family in the name of Jesus. We have special gatherings to celebrate THANKSGIVING and our family traditions. Many families take the time to send greetings to family members who cannot gather for the sharing of a meal on Thanksgiving Day.

As you celebrate these feast days with your family and friends, please raise up in your thoughts and prayers those who have no one to share with at this time of year.

A couple of suggestions when sharing with your children:

  • Share their patron saint with them. (All Saint’s Day, Nov. 1st)
  • Remember family members who have died and are with God.Nov.2nd
  • Prepare them for the change of clocks. (Return to Standard time -Nov. 6th)
  • Parent Meeting for the Preparation of First Reconciliation, November 10th
  • Look ahead to the beginning of the Advent season. (Nov. 27th)

Consider gathering your family on the Holyday of All Saints and talk about the saints in your family and church.

May this month of November be filled with many graces and blessings for you and your entire family.
