CALL TO COMMUNITY

Dear Friends,

Sr. Regina Chassar, SSJ

The family is the very first community to which we all belong. Within our family, a person learns that community life is good, enriching and very necessary. As a person grows and matures, they take small steps beyond the family home and into other communities.

Christians are called to live in and contribute to the life of community. As a Roman Catholic community we are called to express mutual respect, responsibility and most important of all to love one another.

We all need the experience in community to help bring out the best in one another. By participating in community we benefit from the gifts and talents of others and offer our own gifts and talents in return. This sharing among community members practices
solidarity, a Christian virtue necessary for living in community. Solidarity teaches us
how to open ourselves to love God and to love one another.

Love invites us to act. As we move through the month of April and journey to Easter
the Lord is there loving us each step of the way. As the Lord loves us we show that
love to others. Be generous with Love as we celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection on
Easter Sunday!!!!

May you find the time to participate in the Holy Week Services and Rejoice with the
parish community on Easter Sunday.

Blessings and peace,

Sister Regina M. Chassar, ssj
Director of Religious Education
