On Saturday, May 13 over 140 parishioners, friends, and family joined in the celebration of OLMC Community Night Launch Party for our 150th Anniversary. The evening was filled with good food, good friends, and plenty of laughs! Guests were once again treated to the amazing talents of mentalist/magician Jason Silberman and sang along to Sweet Caroline led by Father Richard.
There were over 20 door prizes awarded throughout the night. Some of the surprises included gift cards, earrings, aromatherapy, lottery tickets, Italian food basket, and bottles of Prosecco. If you were lucky enough to find a ticket at your place setting, you won your choice of a flowering plant. The evening was capped off by the drawing of raffle baskets and the 50/50 raffle that made eight lucky people extremely happy!
The best part of the event happened two days later! Elliot delivered four full trays of unopened food from the party to the Family Promise Walk-in Dinner in Hackensack. Together with other volunteers, they served 90 hot meals. That is what our Community Night was all about—Faith, Service, Community!
Looking ahead. . .The next celebration for our 150th Anniversary is Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast Day celebration on Saturday, July 15. Details will follow!
