Join us for a cultural celebration lead by our beloved Filipino community with Mass and a delicious, traditional Filipino meal afterwards as we celebrate “the Mass of the Rooster” Simbang Gabi on December 17th!

 

Walk In Dinner Program and Giving Tree Service Opportunities! December 10th 11:00 a.m. 

Join us in OLMC’s kitchen for about an hour and a half following the 10 AM Mass on Sunday, December 10th to prepare for the Walk-in Dinner to be held on Monday, December 11th. Families of all ages can help! Volunteers must bring a hat or head wrap to wear. Please contact Elliot Guerra at guerra@nullacademyolmc.org if interested in helping in some way.

The parish community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is embracing the annual Giving Tree project for St. Simon Stock Church in Bronx, NY and “Stockings for Our Sisters” for the Franciscan Sisters in Tenafly, the Sisters of St. Joseph in Teaneck, the Sisters of Notre Dame in Dumont, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in Englewood Cliffs. You are invited to take a tag from the Giving Tree and purchase the item indicated on the tag.

All gifts are due back to the Church

The Parish Advisory Board is sponsoring a collection of socks, hats, gloves, and scarves for adults and children. The Palumbo family, parishioners of OLMC, will be distributing the items on Christmas Eve at The Hoboken Shelter. Donations should be placed in the bin located in the elevator lobby. Donations are due by December 17th. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

A Visit from Santa! December 3rd! 10:00 a.m. 

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is being offered to children in grades K–5 during the 10 A.M. Mass this Sunday, December 3rd.  All are invited for Coffee & Conversation and a special visit from Santa hosted by OLMC’s Parish Advisory Board to be held in the cafeteria following the 10 A.M. Mass this Sunday, December 3rd.

Feast of St. Nicholas Stockings Blessing December 6th 7:00 p.m.

Join us in celebrating the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas.  In keeping with his feast day traditions, bring your Christmas stocking to OLMC to have it blessed and perhaps receive a sweet surprise!  Then, join in a Christmas carol sing-along while you sip some hot chocolate and enjoy Christmas cookies.  You can stop by the craft table to create Christmas cards for the Missionary Franciscan Sisters at the Knickerbocker convent in Tenafly.
