In the holy season of Christmas we wish to thankful…
For the many members of the parish who spent hours of their time constructing the nativity scenes for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the town of Tenafly and for those who donated their time and talent to decorate our Church this year and to beautify it throughout the year.
For all those parishioners who embraced our annual Giving Tree project for St. Simon Stock Church in the Bronx and “Stockings For Our Sisters” for the Franciscan Sisters in Tenafly, the Sisters of St. Joseph in Teaneck, the Sisters of Notre Dame in Dumont, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in Englewood Cliffs. And to all those who responded to “Share The Warmth, Spread The Love” collection of warm wear that was distributed at The Hoboken Shelter. Thanks for all who gave!
For all who teach our children — in the Academy, the Religious Education Program, our parish’s Confirmation Program, and Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Your support and creativity in reaching out to students and teens is a testament to the power of the Holy Spirit working within you.
For all our liturgical ministers who help make every single celebration of the Eucharist, from weekday Masses to Sunday Masses, First Friday Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, and our Easter and Christmas Masses, prayerful and joyous. And for all those who give their time to all the liturgical needs of our church.
For all who give their time and talent in an effort to build community in our parish—everything from this year’s OLMC Book Club,
Women’s Book Group, Men’s Cornerstone, Coffee & Conversation, Simbang Gabi, and all that brings people together. And, a thank you to our Parish Advisory Board and Finance Council for their service to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
