OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OFFICE
JUNE, 2024
Dear Friends,
As we begin this month of June, we pray for Peace in our World:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love, where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy.
(Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi)

Saint Padre Pio, as a boy he saw and talked with Jesus and the angels. He wanted to be a religious at a very young age. He had multiple health problems. Pio believed in God’s plan for his life and thought worrying was useless. He experienced the stigmata, where the wounds of Christ appeared on his hands. Padre Pio was canonized a saint on June 16, 2002,
“PRAY, HOPE AND DON’T WORRY.” (St. Padre Pio)
We take those words of Padre Peio and use them as we travel through these days of summer. Remember to pray and keep the Lord close to family and friends. What the world needs now is PEACE!
Blessings,
