Volunteers

Parish Catechist:

A person who is willing to instruct and share the Catholic faith with a group of children. Lessons are taught following a planned and guided program of instruction. Classes meet once a week from September through the beginning of May. Opportunity for training is provided.

Team Teacher:

A person who is willing to instruct and share the Catholic faith with a group of children alternating with another catechist. Lessons are taught following a planned and guided program of instruction. Classes meet once a week from September through the beginning of May. Opportunity for training is provided.

Substitute Catechist:

A person who cannot commit each week but is willing to assist when the regular catechist is absent. Material, book, and a lesson plan for the session is provided.

Classroom Aide:

An eighth grade or high school student preparing for Confirmation who assists the catechist each week for Grade K, 1, 2, or 3. This is a good community service opportunity!

Religious Education Office Volunteer:

This person assists on a rotating basis in the Religious Education Office during regular religious education class time. Help is needed to answer the phone and occasionally help with light clerical work.

Hospitality Volunteer:

This person is part of a group that sets up and cleans up for hospitality held on several Sunday mornings throughout the year. Set-up time is 9:15; clean-up time is 11:30. Volunteers are assigned on a rotating basis once or twice a year.
